Welcome Back!

Welcome Back to School parents and students!  I am looking forward to another great year; hopefully, my infant son will continue to sleep through the night and I won’t spend my days too sleepy.  Please feel free to contact me at school or home with any concerns you might have.  Your child and his/her education  is very important to me!

Important Information

Welcome to Mrs. Decker’s Home Page!

I am very excited about beginning our year together in fourth grade!

This page will be used to share important information happening in fourth grade.  This will include upcoming field trips, early dismissals,  tests, and book order due dates.

Schedule

Please see the schedule tab for the latest information on our schedule.

A New Beginning

Come August, I will begin a new chapter in my teaching career.  I am going to be teaching 4th grade for Prairie Central instead of 2nd grade as I did last year.    I am anxious to meet the students in my class for the upcoming year!

50 Nifty Program

Family and Friends: Our third grade Fifty Nifty Program will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.  We look forward to everyone attending at the time that is convenient for them.  The children are currently practicing their 50 Nifty song and square dancing with Mrs. Muench.  We will be starting to learn about our states after Easter Break.

Book-It

Just a reminder to parents . . .  For students to receive their Book-It pizza certificate they must read 15 days during the month.  On each of those days they must read 20 minutes, but only 10 minutes must be read aloud to someone.  Students must also earn 2 AR points.  Please return the calendar filled out with the information and SIGN it before the 5th of the next month.  Example: November Book-It calendars will be accepted until December 5th.

Happy Reading!

Colder Weather

The weather is getting a little colder.  If you have found your way to my site, please check out the Delicious page.  It holds the links for several areas we have been studying in class and is a good review for those that we have already covered.  I believe that games are a good way to learn material because it makes learning lots of fun!
